Job summary

Plexus Corp. in Appleton, WI seeks a Senior Product Engineer to lead product-level continuous improvement, support manufacturing readiness, and translate customer requirements into manufacturing solutions. You will serve as the technical expert on site manufacturing related to the customer’s product and help sustain production.

Travel up to 10% may be required. A Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering and 3 years in product/process engineering or related roles

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 3 years of experience in Product Engineering, Process Engineering or related role.
• Experience with APQP framework and FMEA.
• Experience using 8D problem solving methodology.
• Experience with DFM and DFA.
• Experience applying DMAIC to projects.
• Experience establishing workflow processes, fixtures and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Engage in customer technical communications and product initiation.
• Drive product-level continuous improvement and sustainment.
• Serve as technical expert on site manufacturing for customer’s product.
• Capture customer requirements and translate into manufacturing solutions.
• Support ongoing production activities to meet customer needs and internal goals.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing personnel.
• Travel up to 10% to other Plexus facilities or customer sites.
