Job summary

Doncasters Precision Castings-New England in Groton, CT is seeking a Senior Product Engineer with casting expertise to lead projects from concept through delivery and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

You will apply metallurgical and process knowledge to develop economical superalloy investment casting methods for aerospace and other high-spec applications, reading complex drawings and ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of manufacturing industry experience.
• Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Black Belt preferred.
• Experience with investment casting for aerospace is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from quote through to sales, leading the introduction of new work.
• Apply metallurgical, process and manufacturing engineering knowledge to define economical processes for superalloy investment castings.
• Support on-site fabrication with exotic metals, ensuring safety and quality.
• Read complex engineering drawings to meet customer specifications and expectations.
