Job summary

World Labs is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to build and ship products powered by frontier spatial models. You’ll work at the edge of what our models can do, taking ideas from early prototypes to reliable APIs that people use, often in weeks rather than months.

This role sits at the intersection of product, research and engineering. You’ll own its technical direction and how the model behaves in the product, and you’ll build the evals that show whether users get results they can use.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with ownership across full stack development.
• Shipped a production API or application on top of generative models and owned end-to-end output quality.
• Built or used evaluations for nondeterministic systems and understand evaluation biases.
• Worked closely with researchers and can turn product evidence into precise capability requests.
• Able to act without waiting for fully specified tickets while aligning on product bets and constraints.

Responsibilities

• Explore emerging model capabilities with researchers and identify valuable product workflows.
• Own model behavior in the product, including prompting, conditioning, orchestration, and failure-mode diagnosis.
• Build product evals that measure whether users receive usable results.
• Ship across the necessary layers: backend/orchestration, public API/SDK and user-facing product.
• Work directly with users and own the quality and reliability of what you ship after launch.
