Job summary

Avalanche Technology, Inc. in Fremont, CA seeks a Senior Product Engineer to qualify and enhance STT-MRAM products, applying test and product engineering to pre-production and production activities.

You will drive projects independently with strong knowledge of non-volatile memory and CMOS processes. Responsibilities include product qualification, development of robust test programs, yield analysis, and vendor coordination for packaging, assembly, and test.

Qualifications

• Requires BS+12 or MS+10 years in product or design engineering.
• Memory product engineering experience preferred.
• Strong CMOS circuits/process understanding.
• Proficient in C and Python; JMP data analysis experience required.
• Ability to work independently and in teams; strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform product qualification and product characterization.
• Collaborate with test engineers to deliver robust test programs.
• Run and modify test programs to ensure reliability.
• Conduct ongoing production yield analysis and yield improvement.
• Perform ongoing customer RMA analysis.
• Hands-on with PCB rework, cable rework, and test equipment measurements.
• Coordinate with external vendors for packaging, assembly, and test.
• Coordinate with external vendors for test hardware (load board, probe card, cables).
• Perform other product engineering duties as assigned.

Job description

We are seeking a Senior Product Engineer to work with our highly motivated and innovative design,R&D and test team to qualify and enhance new STT-MRAM products. This rolewill apply test and product engineering skillset and sound engineeringpractices to qualify and support product pre-production and productionactivities. This position requires a strong technical knowledge of non-volatilememory products and the ability to drive projects independently.

Responsibilities:

1. 1. Perform product qualification and productcharacterization.
2. 2. Work with test engineers to deliver robust testprograms (sort, final test, characterization, etc.).
3. 3. Run and modify test programs.
4. 5. Perform ongoing production yield analysis andyield improvement.
5. 6. Perform ongoing customer RMA analysis.
6. 7. Hands on with PCB rework, cable rework, usingtest equipment and performing measurements.
7. 8. Work with and manage outside vendors forpackaging, assembly, test.
8. 9. Work with and manage outside vendors for testhardware (load board, probe card, cable assembly, etc.).
9. 10. Performs other product engineering duties asassigned.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Requires BS +12 or MS +10 years in ProductEngineering or Design Engineering.
• Previous experience in memory productengineering.
• Basic understanding of CMOS circuits and process.
• Proficient programming skills in C andPython.
• Experience with data analysis packages such asJMP is required.
• Experience with ATE, experience with TeradyneMagnum 2 is highly desirable.
• The ability to work independently as well as inteams.
• Good multitasking and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability toconvey complex technical concepts to others.
