Job summary

Yazaki North America is seeking a Sr. Resident Engineer to join the COMBU Engineering team in Canton, MI. This role involves on-site customer support, coordination between the customer and Yazaki, and contributing to design and cost initiatives across program lifecycles.

The ideal candidate brings a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, 8–10 years of relevant experience, and a Master’s degree is preferred for senior levels. A flexible hybrid schedule is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
• Master of Science degree in Engineering preferred for senior/principal roles.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support for development programs as the customer-facing engineer.
• Coordinate communications between customer and Yazaki North America.
• Support customer drawing creation and cost/quote activities throughout the program lifecycle.
• Assist with system requirements changes and design reviews.
• Develop project plans and track progress toward targets.
• Contribute to root-cause analysis and issue resolution.
