DeatschWerks, LLC is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Engineer to join our Product Development Team in Oklahoma City. The role focuses on designing fuel system components, assemblies, and related electronics, using SOLIDWORKS and CAD tools with emphasis on performance and manufacturability.

Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience in mechanical/electrical design, a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, and a proven track record in automotive aftermarket projects.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in designing mechanical and electrical components.
  • Proficient with a major brand of 3D CAD software (SOLIDWORKS preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Develop fuel system components, machined parts, and complex assemblies to meet performance and manufacturing requirements.
  • Manage projects from inception to sale and provide product technical support to end users and internal teams.
  • Create and maintain CAD assemblies and 2D drawings for manufacturing partners.
  • Write, manage, and execute test plans; analyze data to draw conclusions.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Production, and Supply Chain to deliver projects on time and on budget.
  • Maintain adherence to the Product Development Process for assigned projects.

Job description

DeatschWerks is looking for a motivated and energetic individual to join our Product Development Team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a demonstrated ability utilizing 3D CAD software. Must have a good understanding of automotive fuel systems, electronics, and mechanical systems. Background in vehicle modification and building preferred.

Job Description:

Develop, evaluate, and design fuel system components, machined parts, and complex assemblies to meet Performance and Manufacturing requirements; Manage projects from Inception to Sale. Provide product technical support to end users as well as internal Production and Supply Chain Teams.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop products for High Performance automotive vehicle use, including some or all of the following - Fuel pumps, modules, injectors, wire harnesses, lines & fittings, regulators, and filters
  • Build and maintain complex product assemblies in CAD
  • Produce 2D drawings for manufacturing partners and outside suppliers
  • Write, manage, and execute Test Plans to ensure proper evaluation of assigned projects
  • Collect & analyze test data and determine intelligent conclusions
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing, Sales, Production, and Supply Chain to deliver new products on time and on budget
  • Maintain and follow all procedures related to the Product Development Process for assigned projects
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience
  • Min. 10 years' experience in designing mechanical and electrical components
  • Competent with a major brand of 3D CAD software (SOLIDWORKS desired)
Specialized Skills
  • Willingness to keep an open mind, learn new skills, and work in an agile and collaborative environment
  • Strong personal knowledge of automotive systems (desired)
  • Career experience in the automotive aftermarket industry (desired)
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical system fundamentals (desired)

Job Type: Full-time
