Job summary

Ashby is hiring a versatile designer who blends product design with product thinking in a remote, fast-growing team. You’ll influence product strategy, craft interfaces, and contribute to a scalable design system while collaborating with engineers and product managers.

You’ll work across Jobs-To-Be-Done, typography, layout, and UI patterns, shaping a modern enterprise software experience. Remote-friendly, equity included, with a strong emphasis on craft and impact.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of product design experience in desktop SaaS.
• Think from first principles rather than standard UX processes.
• Break down complex problems by asking targeted questions.
• Intuition guides usability improvements beyond data alone.
• Strong layout, IA, UI, and interaction design.
• Strong visual design craft; detail-oriented.
• Bonus: experience at early-stage startups or solo designer on a team.

Responsibilities

• Consult engineers on layout, typography, flows, and usability.
• Dig into problems with GTM conversations and data requests.
• Use Figma to visualize ideas and align stakeholders.
• Write specs to document design proposals and decisions.
• Own larger product features and consider Jobs-To-Be-Done.
• Consolidate and refine the design system for usability.
