Job summary

Cyvl, Inc. in Boston is seeking its first dedicated product designer to own the customer experience from sensor to platform.

Reporting to the VP of Product, you will work daily with PMs and engineers in pitch-based build cycles and eventually build and lead Cyvl's design function, focused on real-world public infrastructure use. You will turn LiDAR, imagery, and condition data into fast, intuitive interfaces for public works directors, run discovery with field teams, prototype with Claude Code,

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing B2B enterprise software in a high-growth startup.
• Experience collaborating with PMs, Eng, or industrial design.
• Portfolio showing complex systems made effortless.
• Fluency in data and AI; comfortable with analytics.

Responsibilities

• Run discovery with public works teams to learn needs and blockers.
• Build pitches with product and engineering, taking them to production, often in code.
• Translate LiDAR and imagery data into clear interfaces for directors.
• Analyze product data to identify friction and fixes.
• Own the design system and platform look and future direction with hardware teams.
