Job summary

LiveKit is hiring a Senior Product Designer to craft the developer experience for testing, evaluating, and observing AI agents. You’ll translate dense, real-time data into clear interfaces and help shape AI-native workflows. If you love building polished tools for engineers, this role is for you.

You’ll work closely with engineers to prototype in code, contribute to the design system, and deliver interfaces that help developers debug and optimize agent performance.

Qualifications

• Shipped design work for developer tools, observability or data-heavy products.
• Strong data-visualization instincts; know when a chart beats a table.
• Comfortable in code—reading PRs, tweaking Tailwind, building prototypes.
• Earns the trust of deeply technical users and engineers.
• Experience designing for AI or agent tooling; AI tools are a core part of your design.

Responsibilities

• Own the design of how developers test, evaluate and observe their agents — simulations, evals, logs and agent insights.
• Turn complex, real-time data into interfaces that are easy to scan, understand and act on.
• Design new interaction patterns for AI-native workflows, where agents generate the first draft and humans adjust it.
• Prototype in code and work hand-in-hand with engineers to ship polished work.
• Contribute patterns to our design system for dense, debugging-oriented surfaces.

ABOUT YOU

Most product designers want to design for everyone. This role is for someone who'd rather design for one very specific, very opinionated person: the developer at 2am trying to figure out why their voice agent just failed a call. You'll design the tools developers use to test, evaluate and debug AI agents — a category that's still being invented, with no established patterns to copy. If dense data, real-time systems and reading a stack trace sound more fun than intimidating, keep reading.
