Job summary

Duolingo is seeking a design-focused team member to craft friendly, intuitive experiences across mobile apps, website, and campaigns. You will collaborate with designers, engineers, and product managers to shape what we build and how we get there.

You will drive large work streams, mentor peers, and push for craft in animation, copy, and UI. A strong portfolio demonstrating consumer apps and the ability to prototype rapidly is required.

Qualifications

• A portfolio featuring simple consumer mobile apps with strong visual design and interaction details.
• High-fidelity prototyping ability and quick iteration.
• Experience shipping products at scale within a product organization.

Responsibilities

• Design and prototype simple, playful learning experiences for the Duolingo app.
• Drive large work streams across your team with independence—you’ll lead.
• Be a peer leader and mentor across Duolingo Design.
• Work with designers and artists to expand Duolingo’s design language.
• Partner with engineers and product managers to define what we build, and how we get there.
• Consider every part of a crafted experience: animation, copy, UI to business impact.
