Job summary

Relativity is seeking a Senior Product Designer to shape the next generation of the aiR AI platform for legal data intelligence. You will own design from discovery to delivery, partnering with product, engineering, and research to create AI-powered experiences that are transparent, trustworthy, and actionable for legal teams.

The role requires shipping working interfaces and evolving Relativity's design system.

Qualifications

6-8+ years of experience as a product or UX designer, with a portfolio demonstrating complex workflow design for enterprise users.
Strong human-centered design practice, including research synthesis, journey mapping, and iterative prototyping.
A strong bias toward action. You get things done, ship in increments, and would rather put something real in front of users than wait for perfect information.
Ability to think ahead of the roadmap and anticipate what our customers will need next, spotting where a design or implementation will need to flex for a specific customer or jurisdiction, and raising it before it becomes rework.
Strong collaboration skills across product, engineering, applied science, and research.
Demonstrated foundational visual design skills including layout, spacing, typography, and color theory.
Demonstrated ability to build and ship production‑ready front‑end code including working within an existing codebase.
Track record of using AI‑assisted development to accelerate delivery.
Ability to clearly communicate design decisions and influence direction across levels of seniority.
Proficiency with modern design and development tooling, including AI‑assisted workflows and AI‑native development environments (Claude, Claude Code, Cursor) with version control (Git)
Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG, Section 508)

Responsibilities

Lead design across Discovery domain: own end-to-end experiences for early case insights, conflict detection, and deposition/trial prep across law firms, corporate, and government.
Partner on AI feature design with applied scientists and product managers for AI capabilities including fact auditing, transcript analysis, memo drafting, document review, and knowledge management.
Build and ship production-ready front-end code with AI-assisted development in collaboration with engineering to move from prototype to production.
Create and communicate high-quality design artifacts: mockups, interactive prototypes, and detailed specs for engineering, product, and executives.
Evolve and modernize Relativity's design system (RUI) to keep surfaces consistent, accessible, and scalable while pushing for innovative UI.
Partner with internal and external SMEs to pressure-test assumptions and feed insights back into design and product roadmap.
Get in the room with customers: travel on-site for discovery sessions, demos, and events; present work, gather feedback, and iterate based on learnings.
