Job summary

NerdWallet, Inc. is seeking a Senior Product Designer for the Engagement team. You will own end-to-end design for one or more product pods, shaping user experiences that keep users engaged and informed.

Collaborate with Product and Engineering to deliver high-quality experiences and drive outcomes in a fast-moving AI-native environment. You will report to the Product Design Lead for Engagement and shape the design practice on an AI-native team, helping define standards, processes, and best

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional product design experience in a consumer-facing tech environment.
• A portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product work from problem framing to shipped UI.
• Proficiency in Figma with components and prototyping.
• Experience designing for native iOS/Android apps and mobile web.
• Ability to use research and data to inform design decisions.
• Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholders.
• Familiarity with AI-powered features or willingness to grow in this area.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Define a design vision balancing user needs with engagement and monetization goals.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate ideation and prototyping of AI-driven experiences.
• Deliver production-ready designs at pace and contribute to the design system across platforms.
• Partner with PMs, Engineers, and Analysts on usability tests and validation, using data to guide decisions.
• Build relationships across Engineering, Product, QA, and Marketing and communicate design decisions clearly.
