Job summary

DevZero is seeking a Senior Product Designer to shape how engineering teams experience the platform. You will own dashboards, data visualizations, and configuration flows for a highly technical audience, evolving the design system with frontend engineers.

You’ll work closely with product and engineering to ship features, validate designs with real workflows, and occasionally contribute to marketing visuals. Previous startup or developer-tools experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience designing developer tools or technical products for a technical audience.
• Strong portfolio showing data-heavy interfaces, dashboards, or complex workflows.
• Fluency across the full design process: research, flows, wireframes, hi-fi UI and prototyping.
• Comfort working directly with engineers and shipping iteratively.
• Ability to communicate design decisions clearly to cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own product design across the DevZero platform: dashboards, optimization workflows, data visualization, and configuration flows
• Turn complex Kubernetes and cost data into interfaces that are clear at a glance and deep when needed
• Evolve and maintain our design system with frontend engineers
• Work with engineering and product to take features from concept to shipped
• Talk to users to validate designs against real workflows
• Pitch in on marketing and brand work (website, launch visuals)

Job description

We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to shape how engineering teams experience DevZero. Our platform helps teams optimize their Kubernetes infrastructure, which means a lot of dense, data-heavy interfaces: cost dashboards, resource-usage visualizations, optimization workflows, and configuration flows that need to feel simple despite the complexity underneath.

You'll be designing for a deeply technical audience of platform engineers, SREs, and engineering leaders. That's why we're specifically looking for someone who has designed developer tools or technical products before.

• Own product design across the DevZero platform: dashboards, optimization workflows, data visualization, and configuration flows
• Turn complex Kubernetes and cost data into interfaces that are clear at a glance and deep when you need them to be
• Evolve and maintain our design system together with our frontend engineers
• Work directly with engineering and product to take features from concept to shipped
• Talk to the people who use our product and validate designs against their real workflows
• Pitch in on marketing and brand work from time to time (website, launch visuals)
• Experience designing developer tools or technical products for a technical audience
• A strong portfolio showing data-heavy interfaces, dashboards, or complex workflows
• Fluency across the full design process: research, flows, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, and prototyping
• Comfort working directly with engineers and shipping iteratively
• Clear communication and the ability to explain your design decisions
• You've worked on products like Datadog, Sentry, Grafana, New Relic, or Vercel, or other infrastructure and developer-platform tools
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, or FinOps concepts
• You've been an early or founding designer at a startup
