The Role

We’re seeking a Senior Product Designer with 4‑6 years of product design experience at an agency, studio, or in‑house brand. It should be someone with first‑class product design skills and the ability to see a platform, website, or app from discovery to wireframes, design, and launch. We’re looking for someone with strong visual design skills who can push brands to the digital space. You’ll be joining a great group of diverse designers with a collective goal of making the internet a better place.

Qualifications

• A high‑caliber portfolio showcasing a variety of products and demonstrating strong visual design, UI/UX, prototyping, typography, and visual hierarchy.
• Experience designing mobile apps and web products
• Ability to lead design projects from start to finish — including discovery, ideation, definition, design, and collaborating with engineers
• Experience planning and facilitating design workshops, client reviews, and user research
• Experience creating and maintaining design systems
• The ability to lead digital projects with autonomy and authority, and provide mentorship to members of the design team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to collaborate
• Ability to present to stakeholders and articulate and defend design decisions
• A willingness to define and navigate ambiguity, pivoting quickly with changing priorities
• A proactive and open attitude with the ability to ask questions in times of uncertainty or ambiguity
• Comfort in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines
• Figma expert knowledge and a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

Nice To Have

• Illustration or crafting experience
• Branding experience
• Experience in motion graphics or 3D modeling software such as After Effects, Blender, Cinema4D, etc.
• Experience with other tools such as Unreal Engine, Unity, Framer, Webflow, etc.

Salary Range - 110k‑130k

Big Human is based in New York City, but all of our employees work remotely (and we do get together often). Some positions may require occasional travel. We are currently looking for US‑based applicants only; this position will work EST hours.
