Job summary

Google Shopping seeks a Data Scientist to drive analytics and provide quantitative support across the Shopping products. You will work with engineers and product managers to turn data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.

You will design experiments, build analytics pipelines, and communicate findings to leadership, focusing on quality metrics, user behavior, and business impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of work experience with analysis applications (extracting insights, performing statistical analysis, or solving business problems), and coding (Python, R, SQL) (or 2 years work experience with a Master's degree).
• Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5 years of work experience with analysis applications (extracting insights, performing statistical analysis, or solving business problems), and coding (Python, R, SQL).

Responsibilities

• Help serve Google's worldwide user base of more than a billion people through quantitative support and strategic analytics.
• Weave stories with meaningful insight from data and make critical recommendations to engineers and product managers.
• Evaluate and improve Google's Shopping products in collaboration with engineers and product managers.
• Develop, organize, and launch experiments and projects across Engineering and Product teams.
