Job summary

Google seeks a Data Scientist for Android and Business Communication (ABC) to deliver critical insights, predictive models, and measurement frameworks that protect users from spam, abuse, and malicious traffic across Rich Communication Services and RBM.

You will analyze complex data, identify emerging abuse vectors, and guide product and engineering teams on anti-spam and trust strategies, translating findings into actionable recommendations that safeguard the ecosystem globally.

Qualifications

• Degree in a quantitative field with strong analytical and statistical skills.
• Experience solving product or business problems with analytics and statistics.
• Experience with conducting A/B tests and evaluating results.

Responsibilities

• Define and track metrics for spam prevalence and enforcement efficacy with dashboards and reports.
• Design and run A/B tests and counterfactual analyses for anti-spam rules and ML updates.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Policy, and UX to identify trends and priorities.
• Analyze evolving adversarial behaviors and present actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Evaluate models and classifiers to detect spam and unwanted traffic across RCS channels.
