Job description

About the Role

Hippocratic AI is looking for a Lead Product Data Analyst to drive company-wide product strategy and quantify the clinical, operational, and financial impact of our healthcare AI platform. This isn't a dashboarding role — you will establish the foundational measurement and evaluation strategy for AI clinical agents at scale, including critic frameworks, safety baselines, and quality criteria across all product lines.

You'll partner directly with Executive Leadership, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and clinical leads to solve highly ambiguous strategic challenges: What major product investments should we prioritize? What structural levers drive or limit customer adoption? How do we quantify long-term outcomes for health systems and patients — and prove them with decision-grade data?

The ideal candidate navigates complex, high-stakes ambiguity with ease, translates high-level strategic directives into rigorous analytical programs, and possesses executive-level business judgment to influence product roadmaps and customer partnerships.

What You'll Do

Define how we measure success

  • Partner across executive, clinical, and product leadership to establish company-wide AI agent evaluation frameworks, critic architectures, and quality baselines.

  • Define company-level North Star metrics and multi-tier measurement strategies that proactively shape long-term product vision rather than tracking existing adoption.

  • Design analytical approaches to evaluate product changes and program impact, including in real-world settings where randomized experiments aren't possible.

  • Conduct pre- and post-launch analysis to determine whether initiatives achieved their intended outcomes.

Turn data into decisions and dollars

  • Architect end-to-end analytical solutions for complex, unstructured strategic questions, providing high-conviction recommendations to executive decision-makers.

  • Develop comprehensive financial and business models linking product adoption to health system ROI, clinical outcomes, cost reduction, and value-based care performance.

  • Partner with technical teams to improve instrumentation so the data behind these decisions is reliable.

Represent the work — internally and with customers

  • Synthesize complex analytical findings into compelling executive narratives for C-suite leaders and external healthcare partners.

  • Represent product data strategy and ROI models directly in high-stakes C-suite customer and partner engagements.

  • Serve as a principal analytics partner across Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and GTM, mentoring team members and establishing product analytics standards as the organization scales.

Location Requirement

We believe the best ideas happen together. To support fast collaboration and a strong team culture, this role is expected to be in our Menlo Park office five days a week, unless otherwise specified.

What You Bring
Must-have
  • 6–8+ years of progressive experience in product analytics, product strategy, data analytics, business strategy, or management consulting within high-growth tech or healthcare environments.

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or analytical discipline (Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, CS, Engineering, or related).

  • Advanced SQL and demonstrated ability to independently analyze large, complex datasets; working Python proficiency preferred.

  • Track record of driving executive consensus and directly influencing company-wide product strategy, roadmaps, and capital allocation using data.

  • Experience with product analytics/BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Metabase, or similar).

  • Design analytical approaches to evaluate product changes and program impact — including in real-world settings where randomized experiments aren't possible.

  • Proven experience building sophisticated ROI models, business cases, or economic evaluations, presenting directly to VP and C-suite stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have
  • Experience in product analytics or strategy at a technology, healthcare technology, SaaS, or AI company.

  • Experience working with healthcare data, products, clinical workflows, or healthcare organizations.

  • Fluency in healthcare financial and value-based care concepts (e.g., HRRP/readmission economics, value-based care arrangements, risk-based contracting).

  • Experience designing causal, cohort, funnel, retention, or behavioral analyses, especially where RCTs aren't feasible.

  • Experience presenting to Director/VP/C-suite or senior customer stakeholders.

  • Experience with AI, machine learning, or LLM-powered products.

  • Startup or high-growth experience where responsibilities extend beyond a narrowly defined analytics function.

What Success Looks Like

Success here isn't how many dashboards you build — it's whether your analysis changes a decision. You'll help us understand which product investments matter most, which capabilities create measurable value, and how to prove it with data.
