Doing Things is seeking a Supervising Producer, Overheard, with a strong grasp on cultural moments and a sharp editorial eye to lead the creative and operational execution of our growing video slate.

This hybrid NYC-based role sits at the center of our production team, bridging the Director of Production and day-to-day staff as you supervise multiple series from development through delivery, ensuring shows are creative, efficient, and unmistakably Overheard.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years producing premium digital, unscripted, or documentary-style content.
• Experience overseeing multiple productions simultaneously from development through delivery.
• Proven experience producing branded content with sponsor integrations.
• Strong understanding of what resonates on YouTube and social platforms.
• Demonstrated leadership of producers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day production of our Overheard video slate, including existing and original series.
• Oversee projects from development through pre-production, production, post-production, and final delivery.
• Partner with Creative, Production, Editorial, Social, Sales, and Brand teams to execute editorial and branded content.
• Lead branded campaigns to weave sponsor objectives into show voice and storytelling.
• Work with brand partners to deliver integrations that feel authentic and audience-first.
• Manage schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and resource allocation across multiple productions.
• Supervise producers, editors, field crews, and freelancers, providing mentorship and guidance.
• Develop production workflows and scalable systems as the slate grows.
• Shape new show concepts, recurring formats, and production strategies.
• Maintain high creative standards while keeping productions on schedule and within budget.
