Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a procurement professional to join WECTEC Staffing Services for an onsite role at the Diablo Canyon facility in California. You will procure materials and services for nuclear power plant systems, interfacing across engineering, maintenance, and supply chain to ensure compliant, cost-effective solutions.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of nuclear power experience, a technical degree (Associate's or Bachelor's), SAP proficiency, and CSCP certification,

Qualifications

• Experience in supply chain, procurement engineering, or technical procurement support
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in SAP (engineering, work control, and supply chain modules)
• Knowledge of ASME, EQ, and nuclear quality standards

Responsibilities

• Create material masters, develop purchase requisitions, and support BOM updates
• Conduct technical evaluations including item equivalency assessments and engineering reviews
• Use SAP and other enterprise systems to implement procurement activities
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and supply chain teams
• Explain procurement requirements with ASME and EQ considerations
• Ensure compliance with procurement procedures and nuclear quality requirements
• Support supplier engagement and procurement execution in a high-demand plant environment

About the role

Onsite opportunity at the Diablo Canyon, CA facility. Reporting to the Manager of Procurement Engineering.

You will help procure materials and services for nuclear power plant systems and components at Diablo Canyon. This role interfaces across engineering, maintenance, and supply chain functions to ensure technically compliant, efficient, and cost‑effective procurement solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform technical procurement activities such as creating material masters, developing purchase requisitions, and supporting bill of materials (BOM) updates.
• Conduct technical evaluations including item equivalency assessments and engineering reviews.
• Use SAP and other enterprise systems to implement and support procurement activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and supply chain teams.
• Interpret engineering specifications, including ASME and environmental qualification (EQ) requirements.
• Ensure compliance with procurement procedures and nuclear quality requirements.
• Support supplier engagement and procurement execution in a high‑demand plant environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in Nuclear Power (required).
• Experience in supply chain, procurement engineering, or technical procurement support.
• At least Associate's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with nuclear power plant systems, structures, and components.
• Familiarity with Diablo Canyon Power Plant (DCPP) systems and procurement procedures.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience working across engineering, maintenance, and supply chain disciplines.
• Proficiency in SAP (engineering, work control, and supply chain modules).
• Experience performing technical procurement reviews of services and materials.
• Knowledge of ASME, EQ, and nuclear quality standards.

WECTEC Staffing Services offers competitive pay to all of our employees. Additionally, most positions qualify for benefits including the following. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $65/hour to $72/hour.
