Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a procurement professional to join the Brunswick Nuclear Plant team, with work performed from a remote NC location within a reasonable commute to the plant. The role may be filled at a Senior Procurement Specialist level depending on experience.

Responsibilities include managing procurement workflows, expediting purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, and driving cost savings across business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with relevant work experience or equivalent combinations as listed.
• Relevant work experience in procurement and supplier management.
• Experience with governance, cost controls, and contract management.

Responsibilities

• Procure products and services aligning with Business Unit needs and standards.
• Manage supplier relationships and ensure compliance with agreements.
• Monitor supplier performance and support cost savings initiatives.
• Participate in special projects and mentor procurement personnel.
• Support outage schedules and after-hours/weekend rotations as needed.
