Job summary

BBA Consultants is looking for an experienced procurement professional to lead procurement activities for large-scale EPCM projects across Arizona. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain, preferably within the construction industry.

Join a growing EPCM firm and play a critical role in the success of large-scale mining and industrial projects across Arizona and the southwestern United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities for major EPCM projects, from packaging definition to executing the RFP process to the award
• Participate alongside other procurement, expediting, transport, and logistics experts
• Work with project teams to align procurement activities with project objectives, schedules, and budgets
• Negotiate commercial agreements, purchase orders and key terms with suppliers
• Identify procurement risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect project performance
• Drive vendor performance and accountability throughout project execution
• Support clients with best practices in strategic procurement, sourcing, and supply chain optimization
• Build strong relationships with clients to enable repeat business and long-term partnerships

Requirements & Certifications

• Over 15 years of experience in procurement, sourcing or supply chain (EPCM or construction preferred)
• Strong experience in capital projects procurement (equipment, services, construction)
• Proven experience negotiating contracts and managing vendors
• Solid understanding of commercial, contractual and risk management principles
• Experience in mining, metals or heavy industry
• Experience on large EPCM or EPC projects
• Familiarity with project controls and contract administration interfaces
• Experience supporting strategic procurement initiatives or consulting mandates
• Frequent travel, depending on project needs, if outside Arizona
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Asset: bilingual (Spanish)
