Talent ACQ, based in Boise, Idaho, seeks a Senior Procurement Category Manager to own global sourcing for key potato-product ingredients—edible oils, batter systems, and dry ingredients. You will build a single global strategy, consolidate suppliers, and negotiate terms across regions and currencies.

You will work with regional teams across three continents to ensure continuity, risk management, and supplier performance while advancing sustainability and innovation in the ingredients portfolio.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in procurement or category management, including direct-material categories supporting manufacturing.
• Experience owning strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and supplier relationship management on complex ingredient or commodity categories.
• Experience across regions or in a global matrix with influence across time zones.
• Fluency with procurement analytics and market-intelligence tools.

Talent ACQ is retained by a privately held global food and agriculture company headquartered in Boise, Idaho, with manufacturing across the Americas, Asia Pacific, and Europe. They are hiring a Senior Procurement Category Manager to own global sourcing for a set of critical potato-product ingredients — edible oils, batter systems, and dry ingredients.

Today those categories are managed well regionally. Nobody owns them globally. That is the job: build the single strategy that ties the regions together and then go execute it — supplier consolidation, contract negotiation, specification harmonization, hedging and market risk, continuity planning.

This is a high-visibility seat. You will work directly with Regional Procurement Category Teams, R&D, Regulatory, Food Safety & Quality, Planning, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Treasury, and plant leadership on three continents.

What you'll own

• Global category strategy for edible oils, batter, and dry ingredients — built, socialized across regions, and executed

What you bring

Required

• 5+ years in procurement or category management, including direct-material categories supporting manufacturing
• Demonstrated ownership of strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and supplier relationship management on complex ingredient or commodity categories
• Experience working across regions or in a global matrix — you can influence people who do not report to you and who sit in a different time zone
• Fluency with procurement, spend analytics, and market-intelligence tools

Preferred

• Food manufacturing, CPG, or agricultural commodity background — potato products, edible oils, batter and coatings, or dry ingredients especially
• Hedging, commodity risk, or PPV management exposureTrack record in supplier consolidation, value engineering, or specification harmonization at global scale
• Experience partnering with R&D, Regulatory, and Food Safety & Quality on ingredient and supplier qualification
• Comfort navigating geopolitical and commodity-market volatility
• Location: Boise, Idaho headquarters. Relocation supported and discussed early.
• Travel: Up to 25%, including international.
• Reports to: Director-level procurement leadership.
• Compensation: Competitive base reviewed annually, plus an annual short-term incentive tied to company and individual performance.
