Procurement People in Odessa, TX is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to join a regional procurement team supporting multiple operational sites. You will lead sourcing, negotiations, and procurement operations to deliver commercial value across direct and indirect spend.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in procurement within manufacturing/industrial settings, strong negotiation and stakeholder management, and experience with ERP systems such as SAP.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of procurement, sourcing or category management experience.
• Proven negotiation and supplier management capabilities.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, construction, energy, or related environments.
• Strong analytical and commercial mindset focused on measurable results.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing and tendering activities across diverse categories.
• Negotiate supplier terms and commercial agreements to cut total cost of ownership.
• Identify and deliver cost-saving initiatives across multiple locations.
• Support procurement strategies with market analysis, benchmarking and supplier engagement.
• Collaborate with operational stakeholders to align procurement with business objectives.
• Manage procurement projects from opportunity identification through to implementation.
• Track savings, supplier performance and procurement outcomes.
• Support continuous improvement across procurement and supply chain.
