Job summary

Kaiser Aluminum is seeking a senior Purchasing Agent III to support plant and corporate procurement across Kaiser locations. This onsite role focuses on purchase orders, contract administration, supplier coordination, and issue resolution, with potential involvement in strategic sourcing.

Ideal candidates will have strong operational buying experience, capable contract negotiation skills, and the ability to work with plant leadership, maintenance, engineering, and finance teams.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of progressive purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience preferred.
• Experience with purchase order management, expediting, and plant-level procurement support.
• Experience negotiating commercial terms, supplier agreements, and service contracts.
• Experience leading projects, mentoring employees, or coordinating across sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop purchase orders in accordance with company policy for materials, services, rentals, equipment, professional services, environmental services, construction, and capital purchases.
• Support day-to-day procurement needs across assigned plant and corporate locations with focus on accuracy and service to operations.
• Expedite orders, resolve delivery issues, and minimize business disruption with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure PO and contracts receive appropriate reviews when required.
• Maintain relationships with plant personnel to ensure procurement expectations are met.
