Peraton's Procurement Organization seeks a Procurement Senior Associate responsible for overseeing purchases of materials, equipment, services, and supplies essential to ongoing operations. You will source, plan, and schedule movement of materials through production and inventory processes and identify requirements from engineering and schedules.

In this role you will analyze data to secure the lowest cost while ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years of experience with BS/BA.
• 6+ years of relevant work experience may substitute for degree.

Responsibilities

• Oversees purchases of materials, equipment, products, parts, services, and supplies necessary for on-going operations.
• Sources, purchases, plans, and schedules the movement of materials through production and inventory processes.
• Identifies raw material and component requirements from engineering and production specifications.
• Analyzes data to determine factors that affect prices and secures lowest cost while meeting quality and schedule.
• Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects suppliers, and maintains records of material movement.
• Coordinates with production, warehouse, and engineering to ensure procurement and movement of materials and services.
• Maintains detailed records of goods ordered and received.
• Reviews and approves bid specifications for issuing and awarding bids.
• Locates vendors and negotiates contracts; represents company in supplier negotiations.
• Resolves vendor grievances and claims against suppliers.
