Job summary

System One in East Windsor, New Jersey is seeking an HSE Process Safety Specialist/Engineer for a contract, onsite role. The position leads process safety programs and risk assessments at the site level, with a 40-hour work week.

Responsibilities include chairing HAZOP/LOPA/PHA, assessing risks of new processes and equipment, and driving improvements in emergency response and overall HSE compliance. A degree in a related field is required; Master’s in HSE Process Safety preferred.

Qualifications

• Leadership and facilitation of Technical Risk Assessments (HAZOP, LOPA, PHA)
• PSM experience in chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
• New Process Introduction (NPI) risk assessments and process safety evaluations
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, major accident hazard prevention, and compliance management
• Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Science, or related field; Master's in HSE Process Safety or equivalent (Preferred)
• 5-10+ years of Process Safety/HSE experience in manufacturing
• Strong leadership and influencing skills
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
• Ability to work cross-functionally and drive change
• Analytical problem-solving skills
• Strong project management and organizational abilities

Job Title: HSE Process Safety Specialist / Engineer

Location: East Windsor, New Jersey - Onsite

Hours Schedule:: 40.0 hours weekly

Type: Contract (potential for extension, conversion to direct hire)

Compensation: $50-$64/hour (depending upon experience)
