Job summary

Jacobs in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, seeks a Senior Process Safety Engineer to lead safety analyses across pharma, electronics, data centers, and other industries. You will evaluate designs, perform PHAs, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver safe, compliant facilities.

The role requires at least 8 years in process safety, a chemical or mechanical engineering degree, and preferably a PE license.

• At least 8 years of experience in design or operating facility.
• Experience performing PHAs, including HAZOP, LOPA and FMEA.
• Experience with facility siting, wind wake, and electrical classification studies.

Responsibilities

• Provide process safety engineering support on a variety of projects in pharma, electronics & data centers, oil & gas, and other industries.
• Work with multi-disciplinary teams to evaluate and improve process designs and solve safety issues.
• Travel domestically as needed to support projects and client sites.

Become part of our team as a Senior Process Safety Engineer in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. Join us and you’ll have the chance to work on projects including state of the art industrial and commercial facilities. You’ll be responsible for providing process safety engineering support on a variety of projects in the pharmaceutical, electronics & data centers, oil & gas, food products, & other industries.

With your technical background you will work with multi-disciplinary teams of engineers to evaluate and improve upon process designs. You will work in a team environment under the direction of other engineers and project managers to solve complex safety solutions in a timely and satisfactory manner. Some domestic travel will be necessary.

Here’s what you’ll need

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent degree is considered
• At least 8 years of experience working in either design or at an operating facility
• Experience performing PHA’s, including HAZOP, LOPA and FMEA
• Experience with facility siting, wind wake, & electrical classification studies

Ideally, you’ll also have

• PE license preferred
• Trained PHA Leader with experience
• Gas dispersion modeling, pressure relief calculations, and mitigation of potential risks.

The base salary range for this position is $110,600.00 to $185,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
