Job summary

Loenbro is seeking a Process Piping General Superintendent to lead planning, scheduling, and oversight of large-scale process piping projects up to $200M. You will coordinate pipefitters, welders, and craft supervision, emphasizing ASME code compliance and weld quality across fabrication and field installation.

Ideal candidates have extensive experience with ASME B31.3, QA/QC coordination, and P&ID interpretation, with readiness to travel up to 75% and lead multi-discipline teams toward on-time

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction of large-scale commercial projects.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a leadership role overseeing pipefitting, welding, and mechanical craft trades.
• Experience on process piping projects within industrial, power generation, refining/chemical, or semiconductor/mission critical markets.
• Extensive experience managing fabrication and field installation of process piping systems, including ASME B31.3 code requirements.
• Working knowledge of ASME Section IX and applicable NDE codes/standards.
• Experience coordinating QA/QC and inspection activities for pressure piping, including WPS/PQR, welder qualification, NDE, and hydrostatic testing.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, piping isometrics, and piping specifications.
• Proficient with all Microsoft Office products.
• Completion of OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training.
• Ability to travel at least 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Review project schedules with Superintendents/Foreman and ensure critical activities remain on schedule.
• Oversee field activities for process piping construction projects from setup to closeout.
• Document field issues impacting budget, quality, or schedule and brief the PM team.
• Ensure ASME B31.3 and related code compliance across fabrication and field installation.
• Coordinate QA/QC and inspections for weld procedures, certifications, NDE, and hydrostatic testing.
• Interpret P&IDs, isometrics, and piping specifications to support constructability and sequencing.
• Respond to subcontractor requests affecting budget, quality, or schedule.
• Supervise daily work of employees and ensure conformance to contract requirements.
• Ensure safety and environmental requirements are met.
