Job summary

Tarkett is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join the Florence, Alabama project team. You will plan, design, and implement safe, repeatable manufacturing processes in close partnership with the operations team to deliver quality products on time and safely.

The role requires 7+ years in extrusion/lamination processing, project leadership for equipment installs, and proficiency with World Class Manufacturing, Six Sigma or Lean tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or Chemical) is required.
  • 7+ years as a process engineer in extrusion/lamination is preferred.
  • Experience leading equipment installation projects in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency with World Class Manufacturing, Six Sigma or Lean tools to optimize production/quality.
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from concept to industrialization.
  • Collaborate with EHS to ensure safe operating conditions.
  • Design and layout plant systems for optimal efficiency.
  • Recommend equipment and processes to meet quality standards.
  • Resolve technical processing issues and coordinate with stakeholders.
  • Apply WCM, Lean or Six Sigma to start projects successfully.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to solve production problems.
