Job summary

ICM at UCLA seeks a Senior Process Engineer to lead multidisciplinary efforts translating carbon removal concepts into scalable demonstrations. You will drive projects from feasibility through FEED and delivery of demonstration-scale plants, coordinating with internal teams and external partners in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

You should have 5+ years in chemical process design and capital project delivery, proficiency with Aspen Plus, and experience with electrochemical systems

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in chemical process design for metallurgical/oil refining/petrochemical/gas processing/chemical industries.
• 5+ years experience as a project engineer/manager delivering capital projects.
• Proficiency with Aspen Plus modeling and simulation.
• Experience with electrochemical systems including electrolyzers and fuel cells.
• Has worked for, or with, EPC teams in office and project-site locations.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative, collaborate across functions, and communicate effectively to drive results.
• Working knowledge of fabrication and prototyping methods across multiple process environments.
• Solid foundation in core engineering principles.
• Demonstrated ownership, drive, and accountability for success.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
• Highly structured thinking and ability to define development plans and track execution.
• Strong chemistry knowledge (preferred).
• Strong interest in climate technologies and sustainability solutions (preferred).
