Job summary

Knowles, Cornell Dubilier is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead development, optimization, and control of high reliability capacitor manufacturing processes in Liberty, SC. You will drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and innovation through advanced engineering methods and cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires leading technical projects, hands-on floor support, and deployment of DOE/SPC tools to improve process capability and scalability site-wide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; higher degree preferred.
• 3-7 years of process engineering in manufacturing (capacitors/electronics/materials processing preferred).
• Proven ability to lead complex technical projects with measurable results.
• Strong familiarity with SPC, DOE, PFMEA, Lean tools, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead capacitor process development and continue improvement to enhance yield and throughput.
• Document process procedures and validate BOM/routing for each model.
• Provide hands-on technical support on the production floor to resolve bottlenecks and quality issues.
• Design and implement tooling, jigs, and fixtures for productivity.
• Apply Lean principles to improve material flow, reduce waste, and increase OEE.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and implement CAPA to eliminate recurring issues.
• Use DOE, SPC, and data-driven methods to optimize process capability and output quality.
• Serve as a primary technical resource for daily production troubleshooting and stabilization.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and production teams to ensure safe, reliable operations.
• Lead equipment validation and qualification activities for new or updated processes.
