Job summary

Abzena is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to provide advanced process engineering support for GMP manufacturing at the Bristol, PA site. You will lead manufacturing campaigns, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive technology transfer, scale-up, and process optimization to ensure quality and reliability.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, MSAT, Quality, Facilities & Engineering, and Supply Chain to enable safe, compliant operations and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 6+ years of experience in biopharmaceutical/bioconjugation/CDMO environments.
• Proven ability to independently support GMP manufacturing operations and lead complex process engineering activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced process engineering support for GMP manufacturing including bioconjugation, chromatography, filtration, formulation, and single-use systems.
• Lead technical investigations related to deviations, root cause analyses, and CAPAs.
• Drive technology transfer for processes from development into GMP manufacturing and lead scale-up studies.
• Mentor engineers, promote GMP compliance, and drive continuous improvement across operations.
