Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a Senior Process Engineer with strong Commissioning & Qualification (C&Q) and startup experience to support a large-scale pharmaceutical expansion in Lebanon, Indiana. The role will bring systems from construction turnover through qualification, startup, and handoff to operations.

The candidate will oversee startup readiness, verify turnover documentation, and coordinate with operations, validation, automation, and project teams in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, chemical, or regulated environments.
• 5+ years in commissioning, qualification, startup, or operational readiness.
• Experience supporting capital projects from construction turnover through startup and handoff.
• Strong knowledge of C&Q processes, system qualification, and startup execution.
• Onsite work in Lebanon, IN with off-shift support when required.

Overview

Brooksource is seeking a Senior Process Engineer with strong Commissioning & Qualification (C&Q) and startup experience to support a large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing expansion in Lebanon, Indiana. This role will play a key part in bringing manufacturing systems from construction turnover through qualification, startup, and operational handoff.

This is a hands‑on opportunity supporting one of the most significant pharmaceutical manufacturing investments currently underway, focused on Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) production. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting large capital projects, startup activities, system qualification, and process safety initiatives within regulated manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities Include:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of engineering experience within manufacturing, pharmaceutical, chemical, or regulated industrial environments.
• 5+ years of experience supporting commissioning, qualification, startup, or operational readiness activities.
• Experience supporting capital projects from construction turnover through startup and handoff.
• Strong knowledge of C&Q processes, system qualification, and startup execution.
• Ability to work onsite in Lebanon, IN and support off‑shift activities when required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Process Safety Management (PSM) experience.
• Experience participating in or leading PSSRs, HAZOPs, MOCs, risk assessments, or hazard reviews.
• Background in API, chemical manufacturing, specialty chemicals, petrochemical, or pharmaceutical production environments.
• Experience working with reactors, mixing systems, solvent handling systems, filtration, drying, powder handling, utility systems, or process skids.
• Familiarity with hazardous materials, combustible dust, flammable solvents, and process safety programs.
