Job summary

Amgen Inc. (IR) is seeking a Process Development Principal Scientist to lead drug product development, design experiments, and drive late-stage and commercial programs.

You will mentor teams, contribute to regulatory documentation, and partner across departments to advance formulations and processes. The role requires advanced degrees in relevant fields, strong scientific credentials, and experience with solid dosage forms, regulatory interactions, and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree (PhD/PharmD/MD) or equivalent scientific experience.
• Master’s with 5+ years scientific experience or Bachelor’s with 7+ years experience.
• Pharmaceutical industry experience in oral solid dosage forms is preferred.
• Strong writing and communication skills for regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities

• Lead Drug Product Teams as a DPTL and represent DP on Product Development Teams.
• Design and execute experiments to support drug product development objectives.
• Summarize results in technical documents, regulatory filings, and presentations.
• Mentor and supervise scientists; collaborate across functions.
