Job summary

Amco Advisors, LLC, located in the Atlanta area, seeks a seasoned Partner for a family-office-sponsored private credit fund. The role blends deal origination with senior credit responsibility in a hybrid work setting, including underwriting, portfolio management, and fund administration.

The ideal candidate has 20+ years in commercial lending or related fields, with strong credit authority and regulatory experience. Prior SBIC exposure is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• Twenty plus years of progressively senior experience in commercial lending, acquisition or leveraged finance, underwriting, and portfolio management.
• Credit authority within a regulated financial institution.
• Experience shaping credit policies, underwriting standards, and portfolio management frameworks.
• Prior SBIC experience is welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

• Originate and manage borrower and sponsor relationships through closing and loan life.
• Lead credit underwriting for acquisition and change-of-control transactions with financial analysis and cash-flow leverage reviews.
• Negotiate financing terms, oversee due diligence, and coordinate with legal advisers.
• Oversee portfolio and loan management including covenant compliance and workouts.
• Support portfolio-level credit risk management, concentrations, and liquidity planning.
• Contribute to SBIC compliance, SBA reporting, and fund administration activities.
• Develop workflows, templates, and reporting systems as the firm grows.
• Lead and coordinate the credit team and delegate underwriting and diligence tasks.
