Job summary

An AmLaw 100 firm in New York City is seeking an Associate Attorney for Private Client Services to handle complex trust and estate matters for high-net-worth individuals in a hybrid, collaborative environment.

You will advise on estate planning, draft wills and trusts, manage probate-to-closing administration, and prepare client presentations while performing tax calculations and analyses with a team of attorneys and paralegals.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with strong academics.
• New York Bar Admission or ability to waive in.
• LL.M. with strong tax background required.
• 5–7 years of law firm experience in estate and tax planning for high-net-worth individuals.
• Demonstrated drafting and estate administration skills including complex wills and trusts.
• Proficiency in preparing client presentations, tax calculations and analysis, and administering estates.

Responsibilities

• Advise high-net-worth clients on trust and estate matters.
• Draft complex wills and trusts tailored to client needs.
• Manage administration of estates from probate through final closing.
• Prepare client presentations and conduct tax calculations and analyses.
• Collaborate with a team of attorneys and paralegals to deliver service.
