ALAC HR Solutions is seeking a hands-on PCB design engineer to own complex multilayer layouts from schematic review through production release. You will shape stackups, materials, routing constraints and impedance control while collaborating with electrical and mechanical teams.

Responsibilities include resolving integration challenges, supporting production readiness, and maintaining design libraries. A degree or equivalent experience and export-control eligibility are required.

Design the boards that turn demanding engineering requirements into working hardware

We’re partnering with an established technology company developing advanced electronic systems for demanding real-world applications.

We’re seeking a hands-on PCB design engineer who can own complex multilayer layouts and make informed decisions about electrical performance, materials and manufacturability. You’ll work directly with engineers across disciplines, taking designs from schematic review through production release.

Core Responsibilities

• Own PCB design: Develop complex multilayer layouts spanning RF, high-speed digital, mixed-signal, analog and power circuitry.
• Shape design decisions: Establish stackups, material selections, placement strategies, routing constraints and controlled-impedance structures.
• Solve integration challenges: Work with electrical and mechanical engineers to balance performance requirements, physical constraints and manufacturing needs.
• Support production readiness: Collaborate with fabricators and assembly partners to resolve issues and produce clear fabrication and assembly documentation.
• Maintain design quality: Develop component footprints, support library maintenance and participate in technical design reviews.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated ownership of complex multilayer PCB designs using Altium Designer or a comparable platform.
• Practical experience applying RF and high-speed digital layout principles, including impedance control, return paths and length matching.
• Working knowledge of PCB materials, stackups, via structures, fabrication processes and assembly methods.
• Ability to explain design choices, evaluate tradeoffs and troubleshoot technical challenges.
• A relevant technical degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Eligibility to access export-controlled technical information.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing complex boards in the 8–20-layer range.
• Background developing hardware for aerospace, defense, communications or other high-reliability applications.
• Experience with advanced PCB technologies, component libraries and design for manufacturing, assembly and test.
• IPC CID, CID+ or related certification.
