Job summary

BD in Irvine, CA is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to implement real-time signal processing algorithms for embedded and x86 systems. You will translate prototypes (Python/MATLAB) into production-grade C# or C/C++ code and collaborate with product teams to integrate these algorithms into medical device architectures.

The role demands 10+ years in software, strong C#/C/C++ skills, and experience with Linux/Windows, CI/CD, and verification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software development, mathematics or signal processing.
• 10+ years of direct industry experience; 15+ preferred.
• Strong hands-on programming in C# and C/C++ (Windows, Linux).
• Experience with Python, MATLAB or similar scientific languages.
• Experience with CI/CD frameworks such as Azure DevOps.
• Experience in real-time data processing algorithm design and validation.
• Proficiency with IDEs and Git; knowledge of OO design and patterns.
• Experience in medical devices or regulated environments is a plus.
• Knowledge of machine/deep learning algorithms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with key stakeholders to design and implement real-time signal processing algorithms for embedded and x86-based systems.
• Translate prototype algorithms (Python/MATLAB) into production-grade C# or C/C++ code.
• Optimize and profile code for performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with product software teams to integrate algorithms into system architecture for deployment on medical devices.
• Support software lifecycle activities including algorithm design documentation, testing, and verification.
