Senior/Principal Scientist, Immunology- In vivo/In vitro Pharmacology

Seismic Therapeutic, a biotechnology startup focused on the intersection of structure, protein engineering, machine learning and immunology, is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior or Principal Scientist-level immunologist to help drive novel immunotherapy programs.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assume responsibility for in vivo and in vitro preclinical studies to deeply characterize drug candidates' mechanism of action.
  2. Drive and/or lead discovery programs and identification/characterization of our lead candidate(s).
  3. Independently execute, design and analyze, interpret, and troubleshoot complex experiments.
  4. Manage, motivate, and develop direct report(s).
  5. Support direct report(s) in the design, execution, analysis, and interpretation of experiments.
  6. Make independent, intellectual, and technical contributions to projects, while working collaboratively within the Seismic team.
  7. Organize and clearly communicate complex data sets and results to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:
  1. Ph.D. degree in immunology or related field
  2. Post-doc and 3+ years of industry experience
  3. Strong understanding of immunology, immunotherapy, and autoimmunity
  4. Proficient in performing functional assays with primary immune cells, multi-color flow cytometry
  5. Experienced in working with preclinical animal models
  6. Effectively organize and clearly present complex data sets in writing and verbally
  7. Experience managing a small group of direct report(s) is required
