Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Sr. Principal Engineer Quality to establish and maintain quality systems for materials processing at Cape Canaveral, on-site.

You will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to assure compliance, lead RCCA efforts, and drive corrective actions for non-conformances. The role requires a STEM degree with extensive QA/manufacturing experience, SAP/MRP proficiency, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in STEM with 8+ years in Quality Assurance, manufacturing, or related engineering fields.
• Masters Degree in STEM with 6+ years in Quality Assurance, manufacturing, or related engineering fields.
• SAP and MRP experience.
• Experience investigating failures.
• Experience with data analytics and/or statistical methods.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for materials processing.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to ensure quality standards are in place.
• Initiate RCCA and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure products conform to standards and regulations.
• Review product non-conformances and use data to drive quality decisions.
• Lead continuous improvements to reduce defect counts on the manufacturing floor.
