Job summary

Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies seeks a Principal Product Technology Lead for Application Software. You will own technical strategy and roadmaps across cross‑platform software initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality performance from concept to deployment.

You will guide architecture, drive continuous delivery, and mentor teams while collaborating with multiple business units to maximize value and interoperability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Advanced engineering or computer science degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum 15 years progressive software development experience.
• Minimum 5 years leading multiple software initiatives.
• Experience in medical device software is a plus.
• Proven track record with continuous delivery at scale.

Responsibilities

• Drive and own technical strategy and roadmaps for cross-platform software initiatives.
• Govern continuous delivery frameworks for regular, predictable releases.
• Represent the organization as the primary technical contact for software product lines.
• Lead parallel technical programs with effective prioritization.
• Define scalable software architectures across platforms.
• Champion system architecture development and standards for interoperability.
• Guide quality and regulatory strategy for regulated healthcare software.
• Drive cybersecurity excellence and risk mitigation across portfolios.
• Provide technical mentorship and foster best practices.
• Advance strategic tech partnerships across units.
• Lead system verification and integration across complex ecosystems.
• Evaluate deployment models (on-prem, cloud, SaaS) for regulatory fit.
