What You’ll Do

• Own the Vision and Roadmap: Define and champion the end-to-end strategy for AI experiences within our core products, always starting with the north star end-state for the user and working backwards to deliver experiences that delight.

• Act as an AI Leader: Shape the overall product strategy and up-level the PM craft from an AI lens, relentlessly focusing on user-centricity—stepping into the mind of the user to articulate both customer pain and innovative solutions.

• Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with engineers, designers, data scientists, and other discipline leads to deliver high-quality, elegant, and intuitive AI functionality and features.

• Accelerate AI Adoption: Work closely with existing product teams to support the integration of AI capabilities into their feature development process, ensuring alignment with AI program goals and coherence of experiences.

• Drive Alignment: Partner with central platform and other teams to align on vision, strategy, and execution plans for AI initiatives across Atlassian products.

• Measure and Iterate: Define key results (KRs) and metrics to measure the success and impact of AI features, using data-driven insights to iterate and improve.

• Champion the Customer: Meet regularly with customers to gather feedback and requirements, deeply understanding their pain points and drawing inspiration and energy from user love and advocacy.

• Stay Ahead of the Curve: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies and the competitive landscape related to AI and machine learning, leveraging this knowledge to drive meaningful innovation.

• Mentor and Guide: Act as a subject matter expert on AI technologies and methodologies, providing guidance and mentorship to team members and stakeholders.

• Communicate with Impact: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including executive leadership, articulating complex ideas and product stories to ensure alignment and excitement.

Your Background

• 10+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on AI, machine learning, or related technologies, and a proven ability to champion user-centric, high-quality product experiences.

• Demonstrated track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex software projects, iterating on functionality through experimentation, and balancing the needs of diverse user personas.

• Strong understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, with experience in applying these technologies to real‑world products and solutions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas and product stories to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

• Deep UX intuition and product sense—knowing what feels right for the product and obsessing over quality, flow, and the elegance of the user experience.

• Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast‑paced environments with high levels of ambiguity, where priorities may shift rapidly and flexibility is essential for success.

Pay Ranges

In The United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $264,600 - $345,450

Zone B: $238,140 - $310,905

Zone C: $219,618 - $286,724
