CJ Schwan’s is seeking a Principal Process Engineer to join the world’s largest pizza complex in Salina, KS. You will lead development of breakthrough processing tech, manage documentation, and collaborate across R&D, manufacturing, and engineering to drive efficiency and cost savings.

The role requires a strong background in food/process engineering, 7+ years in manufacturing equipment, and expertise in CAD, PFDs, and PLCs. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 7+ years in manufacturing process equipment.
• Experience with CAD, PFDs, and process documentation.
• Ability to develop ROI and payback calculations.
• Familiarity with ISA format for instrument specs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and commercialize breakthrough process technology and equipment at the Salina facility.
• Lead process documentation including line visualization, PFDs, and control plans.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement new processes and equipment.
• Develop, present, and communicate capital proposals with ROI estimates and capacity impacts.
• Influence buy-in for new technologies and equipment improvements.
