Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Sr. Principal Process Engineer – Packaging to serve as the technical authority for packaging equipment at our Wilson, NC site.

You will own end-to-end process engineering for packaging systems used in biotherapeutic drug product manufacturing. This role requires a minimum of 10 years packaging process engineering experience in large-molecule biotherapeutics, with strong leadership across cross-functional teams and suppliers to deliver compliant, state-of-the-art

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years packaging equipment process engineering in large-molecule biotherapeutics.
• Strong background in packaging equipment for large-molecule biologics.
• Experience leading packaging projects across full product lifecycle.
• Ability to lead multicultural and remote teams.
• Experience with serialization and aggregation for packaging.
• In-depth knowledge of cGMP and regulatory challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of packaging specifications, drawings, and data sheets for large-molecule operations.
• Provide process ownership for packaging equipment in GMP environments.
• Assess vendor capabilities and influence bid documents.
• Lead design and development of packaging equipment with multi-functional partners.
• Oversee FAT, SAT, commissioning, qualification, and startup activities.
• Resolve complex technical/regulatory issues impacting packaging equipment.
