Job summary

Dell Technologies is seeking a Hardware Senior Principal Engineer – System Integration in Round Rock/Santa Clara to lead end-to-end development of next-gen network switches. You will drive architecture, integration, and production readiness across hardware, firmware, and software, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet demanding enterprise and hyperscale requirements.

You’ll leverage deep expertise in Diags, ONIE, BMC, BIOS/UEFI, and security, guiding platform bring-up and deployment

Qualifications

13+ years of experience developing Diags, ONIE, BMC, BIOS/UEFI, and platform firmware for networking switch products.
Strong embedded software and firmware development across OS, drivers, and platform management.
Deep knowledge of platform security technologies and secure development practices.
Proven ability to architect, develop, and optimize complex software with cross-functional leadership.
Expertise with UEFI/EDK II, Broadcom SDKs, PHY drivers, and enterprise/hyperscale deployments.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end FW/Diag development for Network L10/L11 platforms, guiding architecture and production readiness.
Provide technical leadership for system integration across hardware, firmware, software and rack infra.
Define and review diags, secure boot, code signing, and system management specifications.
Define validation and test strategies for software/hardware components across product lifecycle.
Collaborate with engineers, ODMs, suppliers, and manufacturing to manage risks and roadmaps.
