Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Manufacturing Engineer to support production at Central Virginia facilities. You will develop processes emphasizing safety, yield, cost control, and stability, and create digital work instructions for shop floor use.

The role requires a STEM degree and 5+ or 8+ years of manufacturing experience, plus proficiency in MS Office and the ability to obtain a US Secret clearance. US citizenship is required for the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in STEM.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing or production (Master’s degree: 3 years).
• Experience developing digital work instructions for complete processes or assemblies.
• Experience with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret level security clearance.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing by developing processes with focus on safety, yields, cost, and stability.
• Provide ROI justification for process improvements and equipment purchases.
• Develop and implement shop floor digital solutions for PM and Operations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders when troubleshooting and developing corrective actions.
• Create digital work instructions for manufacturing and maintenance tasks.
