American Honda Motor Co., Inc. is seeking a Senior Principal Manufacturing & Cost Accountant to lead complex accounting and financial reporting for U.S. manufacturing operations.

You will own month-end close, consolidations, GAAP compliance, and variance analysis while strengthening internal controls and policies. You will partner with manufacturing, R&D, and operations leaders to analyze costs, margins, and capital investments, and support budgets, forecasts, and long-range planning.

Qualifications

• Develop, review, and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
• Partner with operations and manufacturing leaders to analyze costs, margins, and capital investments.
• Prepare forecasts, budgets, and long-range financial plans supporting strategic initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with corporate, tax, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and new standards.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff, promoting best practices and process improvements.
• Collaborate with audit teams and manage responses to audit findings.
• Support continuous improvement, systems enhancements, and reporting automation.
