Job summary

Dell Technologies is seeking a Hardware Senior Principal Engineer – System Integration to drive end-to-end development of next-generation Network L10/L11 switches for hyperscale and AI infrastructure. You’ll lead cross-functional teams across hardware, firmware, and software integration in a fast-paced environment.

The role demands deep expertise in embedded software, firmware, security, and platform bring-up, with strong leadership and collaboration across OEMs and suppliers.

Qualifications

• 13+ years of experience developing Diags, ONIE, BMC, BIOS/UEFI, and platform firmware for networking switch products
• Strong expertise in embedded software and firmware development, including OS, device drivers, and platform management
• Knowledge of platform security technologies, Secure Boot, code signing, threat modelling, and SDL methodologies
• Ability to architect, develop, debug, and optimize complex software while mentoring cross-functional teams
• Expertise with UEFI/EDK II, Broadcom SDKs, PHY drivers, and networking switch platforms
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• Ability to lead and influence a workgroup

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of next-generation Network L10/L11 switches for hyperscale, cloud, and AI infrastructure
• Provide technical leadership for system integration across hardware, firmware, software, cabling, optics, power, thermal, and rack infrastructure
• Define and drive validation, test, and integration strategies for firmware and hardware components
• Collaborate with engineering teams, ODMs, suppliers, and manufacturing to manage risks and accelerate time-to-market
• Align requirements with business objectives, customer needs, and technology roadmaps
