Baxter seeks a Senior Principal Software Engineer to advance embedded software in medical monitors worldwide. You will design, implement, document, and sustain software products, providing technical leadership to a small team and collaborating across disciplines to meet regulatory and quality standards.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 10+ years of embedded software development experience, including regulated/safety-critical medical devices.
- Experience with embedded C/C++, RTOS (ThreadX), Embedded Linux, and kernel/driver development.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end software lifecycle for medical device products from requirements to sustaining support.
- Define technical roadmaps, architectures, and technology choices aligned with product goals and regulatory needs.
- Identify and mitigate product-level technical risks with cross-functional teams.
- Provide technical leadership across development, verification, design transfer, and field issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with medical device quality and regulatory standards including risk management and cybersecurity.
- Champion quality, security-by-design, reliability, manufacturability, and continuous improvement.
- Lead design reviews, mentoring, and participation in hiring and technical assessments.
