RTX's Test Solutions Center in Goleta, California, is seeking a Senior Principal Test Systems Engineer to guide system-level test setup and cross‑discipline integration in production and development environments. This onsite role requires leading hardware and software test activities and delivering qualified, reliable test solutions for RF‑based systems.

The Test Solutions Center delivers advanced, fully integrated test systems that support the complete lifecycle of Raytheon’s RF-based products. What You Will Do

• Guide system level test setup and operation across different environments within development and/ or production of Test Engineering

• Work across multi-disciplined groups of engineers leading design, development and/or integration of test equipment

• Lead the functionalities of Test Systems Engineering for both hardware and test software development, integration, verification, validation, and maintenance activities within production, manufacturing, product qualification environments

This position is 100% ONSITE in Goleta, CA.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)

• Minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience leading Test Systems Engineering

• Experience leading the functionalities of Test Systems Engineering or equivalent Engineering experience for both hardware and test software development, integration, verification, validation, and maintenance activities within production, manufacturing, product qualification environments

• Experience with leading design, development and/or integration of test equipment

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Organizational, coordination, planning, and teaming skills, as well as written and oral communication skills

• Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems

• Experience with equipment rack assembly, cable assembly/installation, electronics maintenance, data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and/or spectrum analyzers

• Experience troubleshooting systems using test equipment such as data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and/or spectrum analyzers

• Experience leading multi-disciplined teams

• Experience with Agile Process, Agile Methodologies and gate reviews

• Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS)

The salary range for this role is 145,600 USD - 276,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
